Belt Buckle, Philmont Training Center, 2008

Value: Priceless

This belt buckle was given to faculty members at the Philmont Training Center this past summer. It cannot be purchased anywhere! It has symbols representing Philmont including the Tooth of Time. It has an oil well to honor Waite Phillips, the founder of Phillips Oil Company who donated over 100,000 acres to the Boy Scouts so we could have Philmont Scout Ranch. It has a Hereford bull to signify that the ranch is still a working cattle ranch. The Conestoga wagon signifies that Philmont is on the Santa Fe Trail. It also has a buffalo which are raised on the ranch. The back of the buckle has a letter from Brian Gray, the Director of the Training Center.
